A growing team, a long way from a call centre.

Authentic Villa Holidays has been letting villas since 2002, from a shop on a north London high street. The people who answer the phone are the people who know the destinations. That is the whole point of the place, and as the villa list grows, the team grows with it.

Croatian Villas, the Croatian side of the business, runs from the same desk.

The work

The desk is the job.

The work is villas: knowing them, matching people to them, and arranging the week that happens around them. Most of it happens on a phone, and almost none of it comes off a screen.

The phones are answered by people who have been to the places. More villas join every season, and each one needs someone who knows it, which is exactly where a new desk comes in.

Apprenticeships

Sixteen to twenty-four.

We run apprenticeships for people between sixteen and twenty-four, paid at the statutory apprentice wage. Training is one to one on the job, with coaching offsite alongside it.

    Sales consultant

    Learning to sell and negotiate, and booking holidays for customers.

  2. ii

    Marketing and advertising

    Social media and internet marketing, the magazine, PR, photography, video editing, and the offline side.

  3. iii

    Business administration

    Spreadsheets, loading information, database and website administration, accounts, and the IT that sits under all of it.
