Around the booking

The parts either side of the week.

A villa is the middle of the trip, not all of it. These are the things the team arranges around it, and the couple of places where it matters who you buy from.

Nothing here is a marketplace. Each of these goes through the destination team, who book it with people they have used before.

On landing

The transfer.

Arranged through the local partners each destination team already uses, the same drivers the owners use. Tell us the flight number rather than the landing time and a delay stops being your problem.

On the road

A car, or not.

Most of these villas need a car; a few are better without one, and we will say so. We can point you at the right supplier for the island rather than the cheapest headline rate at the airport.

Collision and theft excess waivers are charged locally, typically between €7 and €40 a day depending on the car group. Worth pricing before you land: it is the line that moves a cheap hire into an expensive one.

To the islands

The crossing.

Island villas often come with a crossing attached. We can book the ferry, and separately arrange a boat for a day out, skippered or bare, through the concierge desk.

On the water

A day out.

Skippered or bare, for a morning or the whole day: the boat is the thing most island guests wish they had booked sooner. It runs through the same desk that arranges everything else: the concierge service.

Before you fly

Travel insurance.

Strongly recommended, and not optional in spirit: your contract for the villa is with its owner, and cancellation charges start eight weeks out. Buy it when you pay the deposit, not the week you fly.

The one rule

Flights change what a booking is.

A villa booked on its own is an accommodation booking: your contract is with the owner, and we act as the agent arranging it.

Add a flight to the same booking and it becomes a package under UK travel law, which brings financial protection with it, and that protection has to sit with a licensed operator.

So flights stay yours to book, and the villa stays an accommodation booking: the terms you agreed, with the owner you agreed them with.

Add something to a booking.

Have your booking reference to hand and tell us what you need. Transfers and car hire can be added later; insurance should not be.

Not booked yet? The concierge desk covers everything that happens once you are there.
