Cookies
A short page, because there is little to report. Nothing non-essential runs unless you say yes: the site asks before any analytics start, and this page is where you change your answer.

01What we set today
One cookie, and it is not for you unless you work here. It is called avh_admin and it keeps a member of staff signed in to the internal dashboard. It is set only after a successful sign-in, is not readable by JavaScript, and is never set for ordinary visitors.
Unless you have allowed analytics — clause 03 — that is the complete list. No advertising cookies, no social-media pixels, no tracking you did not agree to.
02Things kept in your browser, which are not cookies
Four features remember things between pages. They use your browser’s own storage rather than cookies: what is listed here lives on your device, not on our systems, except where a bullet says otherwise.
- Your saved villas: the shortlist you build with the save button, kept until you clear it.
- Recently viewed villas, so the search panel can show what you were last looking at.
- Your search conversation, kept in the tab so the panel can hold the thread between pages, and gone when you close it. What you type into the search also reaches our systems and is kept for a time — our privacy notice, clause 06, explains that.
- Your analytics answer: the yes or no you give the question at the foot of the page, kept until you change it here.
Clearing your browser’s site data removes all four from your device. Of the four, only the search conversation has a counterpart on our systems — the shortlist, the recently-viewed list and your analytics answer exist nowhere but your browser.
03Analytics, if you allow them
A small question at the foot of the page asks whether we may measure how the site is used. Ignore it or say no, and nothing runs. Say yes, and two tools start:
- Microsoft Clarity shows us how pages are used — where people click, how far they scroll — as heatmaps and session replays that show how a visit moved through a page, with no name attached. It sets two cookies: _clck, an anonymous id kept for about a year, and _clsk, which groups one day's pages into a session.
- The Meta Pixel tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) which pages were visited, so any advertising we run there can be measured. It sets _fbp for about three months, and _fbc for the same period if you arrive from a Meta ad.
Microsoft may set a further handful on its own domains (clarity.ms, bing.com) while Clarity runs — third-party cookies most browsers now block on their own; the full list is in Microsoft’s Clarity cookie disclosure.
04Managing cookies yourself
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies and site data, usually under privacy settings. Because nothing on this site depends on non-essential cookies, blocking them will not break anything for you.
