The villa
Set over the first floor of a traditional farmhouse this charming villa is part of an extensive 80 hectare farm estate that produces its own wine, olive oil and vin santo. Perfect for those who wish to relax in the Tuscan countryside, the villa also makes for an excellent base from which to explore Tuscany and nearby Umbria.
The entrance to the villa is up a set of stone steps to the first floor and leads into a living room with a dining area. Also on this floor are a kitchen, three double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room and a separate shower room. A fourth bedroom suitable for two additional guests can be accessed at the rear of the property. The pool is set in the large garden and offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Car hire is recommended for exploring the wider area. The thermal baths of San Casciano dei Bagni are a short drive away and Lake Trasimeno is less than an hour away and offers nine different beaches and a variety of activities. The historic hillside town of Cortona is easily accessible by car and the Girifalco Fortress offers spectacular views across the town and the valley below.
