The villa
Originally built in the fifteenth century this spacious villa is set in 4 hectares of private grounds in the hills near San Gimignano and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Suitable for a large family or group of friends who want to relax in the Tuscan countryside or an ideal base from which to explore the famous vineyards of nearby Chianti.
Entrance is on the ground floor where there is a large living area with access to the garden, a billiard room, also with outdoor access, a dining room, a kitchen, a shower room and a small lounge with access into the courtyard which is equipped with tables and chairs for al fresco dining. The first floor has two living rooms, three twin rooms and three double rooms, two of which have en-suite shower rooms. There are also two separate bathrooms on this floor and a separate WC. There is also a small lounge on the second floor. Outside in the garden there is sunbathing by the pool and guests can enjoy access to a shared tennis court.
Car hire is recommended for exploring the wider area. The beautiful hillside town of San Gimignano is a short drive away and Siena and Volterra are also easily accessible by car. Golf lovers can enjoy the renowned Castelfalfi golf course and there is horse riding available locally. Florence, with its stunning architecture and famous cultural attractions is just over an hour away and is a perfect destination for a day trip.
