The villa
Originally a furnace built in around 1900, the villa has recently been restored and is set on 6 hectares of land with fruit trees, wide green spaces and panoramic views of the Tuscan hills. Ideal for a large family or a group of friends who want to relax in the Tuscan countryside, the villa would also make an excellent base for exploring further afield.
The villa is set over various levels. The entrance opens into a large open-plan living area with a lounge, a kitchen and a dining area and access to a covered outdoor dining area. Also on the ground level is a double bedroom, a single bedroom, a separate shower room and a reading room. The first floor has three double bedrooms, a separate bathroom and a separate shower room. The second floor has two double bedrooms (which have sloping ceilings due to the shape of the roof, lowest point 1.8m) and a separate shower room and can also be accessed by an external staircase. The pool is surrounded by trees in the large garden and offers stunning views across the valley.
Car hire is recommended for exploring the wider area. Siena, Arezzo and Cortona are all within a 45-minute drive and the thermal baths of Rapolano Terme are only 15km away. Families can enjoy the nearby Saltalbero Adventure Park and Lake Trasimeno is easily accessible from the villa and offers nine different beaches and a variety of activities.
